Differences – Unix and Linux

Unix is an operating system developed at AT&T’s Bell Labs. Linux is a clone of Unix, but there are differences between these two operating systems. Here are some major differences:

Unix - most UNIX like operating systems are not free

Linux - mobile phones, tablet computers, desktop computers
Unix - developed mainly for mainframes and servers
